Memorial Biography

Harvey Gibeau, 87, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.

He was the beloved husband of Flora (San Antonio) Gibeau. Harvey attended Lawrence public schools. He loved his country and served in the United States Army, becoming a World War II veteran. While in the service, Harvey received the bronze star medal.

When returning home from the service, he owned and operated Harvey's Venetian Blind Service. Harvey also loved woodworking, especially for remodeling his home. He worked as an extruder for Board and Chemical Company for many years until his retirement.

Harvey also loved bowling and helping the community. He was a member of the Holy Name Bowling Society where he won many trophies and was a member of the D.A.V. and the Commission of the Blind. He loved traveling, especially with his beloved wife, Flora, and he also enjoyed meeting his friends at the mall. What Harvey loved the most was his family. He will be truly missed by everyone who loved him.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Flora (San Antonio) Gibeau of Methuen. He is also survived by two children, Joseph Gibeau and wife Ronda of Auburn, N.H., Carol Perrotta and husband Dennis of Pelham, N.H.; five grandchildren, Debra Setterlund and husband Jay, Cheri Haidaichuk and husband Brian, Steven Perrotta and wife Mindy, Olivia Gibeau and Maria Gibeau; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Setterlund and Owen Perrotta; and many loving nieces and nephews.
